Hey all... Starting Sunday Oct 6th I will be teaching yoga from 10am to 11:30 @ SoJa Martial Arts studio...368 24th st. Downtown Oakland between Webster & Valdez...Class is donation based starting at $10-$14 Santi provides a Mindful approach to a Vinyassa flow class based in Ashtanga roots with an emphasis in breath awareness and structural alignment. Santi helps make each pose accessible to each body while offering the opportunity to expand beyond their perceived limitations..., be they mental or physical. The classes are beginning to intermediate and will also incorporate meditation and specific yogic pranayama (breathing techniques) techniques to help balance the Nervous System. The mastery of yoga must not be measured simply by the ability to master the techniques of yoga like asana and pranayama, but by how it influences our day to day living, how it enhances our relationships and how it promotes clarity and peace of mind. ~TKV Desikachar
