Just a reminder. The Festa has been postponed until 2021. We will miss you all. See you next year!!
No Festa, no problem. Enjoy one of our popular cultural discussions online.
Just a cool, historic view of San Jose.
Italians are singing across Italy in a show of solidarity and support for one another. It makes us proud and we are inspired by their understanding of what is important. This is not a time for greed or selfish acts. We all need to care for each other, reach out and check in with family and friends, make sure your neighbors are doing ok. We are asking everyone to come together and do what Italians do, sing and be joyful in the face of this pandemic. Viva Italia! https://youtu.be/Q734VN0N7hw
Sounds like a fun afternoon. https://facebook.com/events/s/italian-music-in-golden-gate-p/131075514991577/?ti=as
WOW! We're adding the Ragazzi Zona (children's zone). Full of creative activities for the kids, young and old. Like this post if you're all in for the fun!
On February 24, 1994, the exhibit Una Storia Segreta: When Italian Americans Were ‘Enemy Aliens’ opened at the Museo Italo Americano in San Francisco. Did you know that there were prohibited zones on the West Coast? Italians had to leave their homes and businesses in those zones and move elsewhere. This story and other elements of the internments and restrictions are contained in the narratives, photos and documents of the Una Storia Segreta exhibit now online. For the first time, what happened to more than 600,000 Italian immigrants nationwide was graphically presented for all to see. Check out the website to learn about this forgotten part of our American history.
A yummy recipe from one of our sponsors. Taste best evening using Galbani ricotta.
The fun starts with Galbani Cheese
Thank you Alameda Family Funeral & Cremation for donating water for all our 200 volunteers. You kept us healthy and hydrated! https://www.funeralcremation.com/
It was an honor to host the Italian flag throwers and musicians. If you enjoyed them as much as we did, give us a like and let us know.
