The UCI Institute and Museum for California Art is committed to serving the children of our community and is dedicated to educating the next generation of artists, teachers, and students of California and its art. Our goal is to continue to sponsor school children through the Irvine Museum Educational Outreach Program, providing these children the opportunity to gain knowle...dge in the world of art and global culture. The Irvine Museum Educational Outreach Program provides special tours of current exhibitions and partners with the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association (LPAPA) to offer students the chance to paint their own plein air masterpiece after seeing renowned examples at The Irvine Museum. Your gift will help pay for busing, instruction, art supplies, as well as a nutritious meal. We appreciate your support in our efforts to educate and invigorate! #UCIGIVINGDAY #UCIIMCA

The community coming together for the beginning phase of what will be the UCI Institute and Museum for California Art is truly a remarkable sight! IMCA has given many the opportunity to gather and share their mutual interest and passion for the marvelous works within both The Irvine Museum Collection and The Buck Collection. This upcoming Wednesday, April 24th, 2019 is UCI’s third annual Giving Day. We would like to highlight the Irvine Museum Educational Outreach Program, a program dedicated to serving children in the community to have the opportunity to visit a museum, some for the very first time! As part of our mission to offer access and exposure to the arts, we are proud to have hosted nearly 3,000 school children in the past year to view exhibitions at The Irvine Museum through the Irvine Museum Educational Outreach Program. The most famous California Impressionists, Guy Rose, will be represented in the new "Upon a Painted Ocean: An Ode to the California Coast." To see his Claude Monet (1840-1926) influenced artwork, make sure to visit the exhibition which is on display November 10, 2018, through March 30, 2019.
