Huge cheers to our female YAT staff who presented to 100 middle school girls yesterday at the Middle School Program Galentine’s Self Empowerment Day! This event included discussions on self care, acceptance, and team-building, a female-orientated self-defense class, and movie on female empowerment. The goal was to bring students together, build relationships with peers and positive role models, and take away knowledge and skills to navigate challenging pre-teen and teen years. Summer YAT Camp volunteering with Second Harvest Food Bank, Irvine Ranch Conservancy, OC Food Bank, and a beach cleanup! We also got an amazing presentation from OCDE Inside the Outdoors and got to pet an iguana, coral snake, chinchilla, owl, rabbit, frogs, toads, and hissing cockroaches!

Summer YAT Camp volunteering with OC Food Bank and OCGP Farm & Food Lab this week. We also took a guided campus tour of UCSD and took a tai chi class with Brain & Body Yoga (Northwood Plaza).

Summer YAT Camp volunteered this week with OC Food Access Coalition and their Harvest Club, Ronald McDonald House, Run Renegade, Grandma’s House of Hope, and finished the week with a trip to Magic Mountain!

Summer YAT Camp volunteered this week at the OC Food Bank and Irvine Ranch Conservancy. We also took a guided tour of UCI and their nuclear reactor. Space still available for Session Two starting July 10th!
