Por muitos anos mulheres ocupam uma posição secundária dentro do samba. Precisamos incentivar e dar visibilidade às mulheres sambistas que cantam, tocam, improvisam e compõem. Por isso, estamos aqui prestigiando o dia 13 de abril. O dia mulher sambista entrou no calendário carioca em 2019 por iniciativa do vereador Tarcísio Motta do samba, que ocorreu depois de um pedido do perfil sambistas da depressão, após o falecimento de Dona Ivone Lara (16 de abril de 2018). O objeti...vo foi de incentivar eventos de cultura e debates sobre o lugar ocupado hoje pela mulher no samba. A escolha do dia 13/04 faz referência e celebra o nascimento da grande compositora Dona Ivone Lara, que neste ano faria 99 anos e foi a primeira mulher a assinar um samba-enredo e a fazer parte da ala de compositores de uma escola de samba, o Império Serrano. A artista até hoje exerce grande influência, tendo sendo, inclusive, homenageada por sua escola de coração em 2012 com o enredo: Dona Ivone Lara: O enredo do meu samba. Salve Dona Ivone Lara .... For many years women occupied a secondary position within the samba community. We need to encourage and give visibility to the women of samba, who sing, play, improvise and compose, among many other contributions. Therefore, today we are celebrating April 13th! The day of the sambista woman was established in the Rio calendar in 2019 at the initiative of councilor Tarcísio Motta, who responded to a request following the death of Dona Ivone Lara (April 16, 2018). The objective of this day is to encourage cultural events and debates about the place occupied by women today within samba. April 13th is the birthdate of the great composer Dona Ivone Lara, who this year would be 99 years old. She was the first woman to sing a samba-enredo and be part of the ala of composers of a samba school, Imperio Serrano. She remains an influential artist to this day, and the samba school of her heart even dedicated a Samba-Enredo in her honour in her 2012: Dona Ivone Lara: O enredo do meu samba.
