Although I haven’t done much marketing around my tax business, I’m really proud of what I’ve done here.... I started this company to provide excellent tax preparation for lower income people that isn’t predatory. My first tax season was back in 2015 and I worked for a major company. We routinely charged between $500-$900 for BASIC tax prep service, without the clients knowing how much they were being charged. I made that company over $250,000 in tax fees over the course of o...ne season and was paid $10.50 an hour plus small, inconsistent bonuses. In fact, I was the top preparer and had to fight for my end of season bonus (which they still shorted me on). It felt awful. Integrity Tax Service was started with the goal of being transparent, affordable, and honest. I was able to hire my cousin as a second tax preparer and have never paid her less than $25 per hour... in fact, this season I doubled her pay without gouging my clients. I’m often told that I can increase my rates, but I don’t see the point. I’m providing a service, more than covering my expenses, and helping so many people keep money in their pockets.
