What goes down but never goes up? Answer: Rain. Not everyone’s body gets up from a roll back whether it’s on the mat or up on the box. It can be super frustrating! I’m using a Pilates ball to connect into my inner legs and lower abs as well as have placed the straps at my elbows to press against for added resistance.... Squeeze the ball and root your feet for the first series where you roll back and up. Keep pressing into the straps backwards as you go back and up. Do not be afraid of falling off the back of the box there is plenty of room. Once you are in this set up keep doing as many ab series as you like! It’s endless. Having some fun with PILATES PROPS to join @foundationpilates for her Propped Up Pilates tag. I’m using a magic circle and a theraband to work on stability and mobility at the same time. I was having a moment where I was so over showing my workouts in the carousel format so sit tight for this brief rundown of three moves:... Bicep with band, bicep with circle in a lunge. Lateral lean with circle at hip and band threaded through. Pull up on band as you return to vertical. Wall squat with the band behind you on the wall while squeezing circle with inner thighs. Do overhead triceps press on each side. What more could you want? Cat Ball workout Chair... If you never leave home again these necessities will help you stay sane and strong! Bridges Make sure your pet is comfortable and then place feet on chair and upper back on ball. Use your shoulders as an anchor. Ab curls with single leg balance to extension. Try to keep your sacrum rooted for balance and watch that you don’t accidentally kick your pet! Forearm plank with oblique knee folds. Flying lunges - try to get hips higher than I did. My ball is super deflated! Reverse dips with a deep abdominal pull back and up. Apparently this is a crowd pleaser for pets. Side abs balance with leg lifts under the chair. You could do these exercises 20x or use it as a set where you do each on for 60 seconds aka one minute then repeat 4x and really burn! Try these and let me know how they go! As always make sure your chair doesn’t slip away from the ball.

Remember when we could cut up shelf liners and use them on our Cadillac so peoples hands wouldn’t slip? The word stand is so loaded with meanings Do you take a stand or make a stand? How about stand up and do your best not to fall! These standing reformer exercises are challenging for your arms and core and glutes and legs. I like to do these on either one blue or one yellow spring.... This is part 1 of many: 1 In a narrow based lunge push bar up in front of you then bring behind head and press our like you are doing the salute. 2Keep the bar steady and lower from the lunge to your knees and switch legs several times. 3 In a wider lunge with palms up do a serve a tray 4 Squat to stand and twist as you punch one side at time. 5 Triceps press holding the bar in an under grip while squatting. 6 Stand tall and twist while bringing bar behind head and switch hands as you press forward and out. I know these aren’t for everyone so please be careful! Let me know how they feel!

Clearly I am having a BALL as I enter month 6 of being shut down. This little teaser number is so flipping hard and when I say flip know it is a possibility Joining @foundationpilates for PROPPED UP PILATES The carriage is set on one blue spring and I am using the ball to articulate my spine and move the carriage.... Legs have very little leverage here which makes the abs work extra to draw them in and up while you press into the ball. Life ain’t so bad at all if you live it off the wall - Michael Jackson Yep I turned my jumpboard into a wall for these turned upSQUATS for squatting footwork! The springs were set with so I didn’t slide into the well. ... Note that I am not sitting on top of the board. I am leaning into it using the hell out of my legs and abs.
