COVID-19 patient with initially tested negative For the virus. A female patient, 39-years-old, fever (38.1) and dry cough for seven days. A chest CT obtained two days after the onset of the symptoms shows nodular ground-glass opacity and consolidation scattered in the lower lobe of the left lung. Laboratory studies showed leukopenia and lymphokine IL-6 level was increased . Several additional laboratory tests were abnormal, including C-reactive protein, D-dimer concentration and Serum Amyloid A (SSA) concentration. Chest CT plays an important role in the diagnosis and follow-up of this new type of viral pneumonia, first by supporting early diagnosis and patient isolation when RT-PCR may not yet be positive.
