We are so happy to participate in Tijuana River Action Month this year! Join us and the Tijuana River Action Network/Red de Acción por el Río Tijuana for a VIRTUALLY hosted litter cleanup in the neighborhoods surrounding the Tijuana River Valley this Saturday! We will collect trash from around South Bay and keep it from traveling through the Tijuana Watershed into the ocean. Tijuana River Action Month #TRAM2020 is a series of education and stewardship events held during September and October to benefit the Tijuana River Watershed.

WINNERS ANNOUNCED for the #CoastalCleanupDay drawing! Thank you everyone who participated in cleaning up your corner of San Diego County and thank you for reporting your data! First Prize Winner - Jenna Onofre, participated in Coastal Cleanup day with her company team spending three hours collecting a total of 25 pounds of debris. This prize includes a San Diego Zoo Behind the Scenes Tour and a Food2Soil Composting Collective Worm Composting Kit! Second Prize Winner - Lynn... Edwards, spent 1.5 hours on her cleanup and collected 19 pounds of trash! Third Prize Winner - Michelle Lucey participated with her Girl Scout Troop 4826 and collected a combined total of 1.2 pounds of trash and recycling!

An enormous thank you to 7,892 registered volunteers at this year's #CoastalCleanupDay! Once you’ve registered at CleanupDay.org, check your inbox for an email from us full of tips and resources including a link to these DATA CARDS. You can download and print them out to make a tally as you go or save them on your phone to help you remember what sorts of things you might come across and about how much of... it your finding. After your cleanup, make sure to #reportyourdata through the survey found in the same email. Here you can share photos, your route and even the most surprising item you came across.
