QPrep is an intensive two day workshop that helps designers prepare themselves primarily for the Prac 2.0 section of the NCIDQ Exam. The two instructors have a combined 45 years’ experience teaching NCIDQ exam preparation. IIDA NC offers the workshop Spring and Fall in Northern California. IIDANC East Bay City Center has partnered with @sidebysideyouth services to raise funds for the critical care they offer that span behavioral and mental health, early intervention in schools, LGBTQ support, transitional housing, and special education. As a provider of essential mental health services, Side by Side endeavors to offer the maximum assistance they can to the vulnerable young people they serve and the larger Bay Area community. To the fullest extent possible, they... are maintaining continuity of service for their clients through phone or video sessions, virtual group gatherings, and electronic instruction/distance learning. In-person meetings with clients at their home or at the organization offices are offered if absolutely necessary. Side by Side has also provided clients with basic computers, WiFi hotspots, and help with cellphone bills as needed so they can access TeleHealth or other critical virtual Side by Side services. Some funds have provided relief for clients and families in financial crisis by providing help with housing support, food, and other basic needs.
