The DOJ recently made the news saying that it would not support the ACA (Obamacare) in the upcoming court case. This has fueled a lot of explosive speculation as to what this means and what might happen. Here’s a quick FAQ to help clear things up... Q: OMG!!! Does this mean I’ve lost my insurance??? A: No. If you are on the ACA/Obamacare/Covered CA you are still insured. Q: Does this mean I’ll lose my insurance next year??? A: No. The appeal for the case, (Texas v. United States), still has to get through the courts and that’ll take a while. Besides which, there is an overwhelmingly strong case to support the ACA/Obamacare/Covered CA. It’s very unlikely it’ll be overturned. Q: So wait what does this mean? A: In the long run, not very much. The case for ending the ACA/Obamacare/Covered CA (Texas v. United States) was brought by a group of 20 Republican Attorneys General and is being fought by 17 Democratic Attorneys General. The DOJ is neither a plaintiff nor defendant in this case. Q: So this doesn’t affect the court case? A: This doesn’t affect the court case.

Medicare Part D - October 15th to December 7th On Medicare: If you are Medicare part D, the plans change every year. We’ll be mailing out a letter for you with all Part D plans available in California. If you have any questions feel free to call us at (707) 884-4640 NOTE: If you have been on Covered California this year and haven’t filled your 2017 taxes yet please file them immediately. You can’t get tax credit for next year until your 2017 taxes have been filed and processed.
