Since the Thanksgiving Holiday is coming up soon, here is a fun turkey fact: A turkey's eyes are set in the sides of its head for monocular vision and can twist their neck 360 degrees which in effect giving them eyes behind their heads. Turkeys can see in color. Distinguishing various hues and colors in their feathers during breeding season is important in choosing a mate. Because of a turkey's lack of 3D sight, they cock their heads side to side to see things more clearly. While a turkey has poor night vision, it sees much more crisply during the day than humans. They do have 20/20 sight. Go turkeys!
