THIS AMERICAN FLAG WAS FLOWN AT COB BASRA IRAQ ON THE 25TH OF AUGUST 2010. THIS FLAG IS NOW SHOWN IN MEMORIAM OF THE 3490 AMERICANS WHO WERE KILLED IN ACTION DURING OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM. THE PICTURES SURROUNDING THIS FLAG COMMEMORATES THE MEMBERS OF THIS FACILITY WHO SERVED IN THE US MILITARY AND TOOK AN OATH TO SUPPORT AND DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES AGAINST ALL ENEMIES, FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC. THEY ARE ALL HONORED HERE AS OUR HEROES AND AS PART OF THE CRU...SH FITNESS FAMILY. Happy Veterans Day too all of the veterans and thank you for your service. To those who continue to serve we thank you as well for your continued service.

Let’s talk about muscle -vs- fat. We’re sure you’ve heard that muscle weighs more than fat, but it’s important to remember that a pound is a pound. However, 1 pound of muscle will take less space than 1 pound of fat. Reason being muscle is denser than fat. This is why if you have two people who weigh the same, but have different body fat percentages their body image will differ. The person with the higher body fat percentage will be bigger in size compared to someone who... has more lean muscle mass. How does having more lean muscle benefit your metabolism? 1 pound of muscle will burn about 30 to 50 calories daily while fat does not burn any. Did you know that while at rest lean muscle will burn around 6 calories a day, meanwhile fat will only burn 2 to 3 calories daily per pound? Let’s build muscle and lose some fat! Endorphins induce the perception of fatigue during exercise and also lower ventilation, playing a major role in the ventilator regulation of carbon dioxide. When endorphins are released in the body, the body reaches a feel-good state, and this is one of the main reasons many people engage in intense endurance exercises and activities and resist the urge to quit.
