EDIT: Register at bit.ly/humetea! The Hume Center for Writing and Speaking is back with Thursday English Afternoons (T.E.A.) - this time as a Zoom edition! We are offering T.E.A this quarter on Thursday, Jan 28 and Thursday, Feb 18 from 4-5 pm PT. You can sign up at bit.ly/humetea.... T.E.A. is a free program that offers conversation practice for undergraduate and graduate multilingual students at Stanford. The Hume Center’s student tutors (OCTs and writing tutors) are available to guide general conversation practice in the college classroom, provide tips on cross-cultural communication, discuss basic skills in communicating in class or via email, and help with an introduction to academic speaking. You’ll have the opportunity to refine your English-speaking skills by talking with tutors and other multilingual students. For this quarter, we’ll also consider what speaking tips we can make better use of while communicating exclusively online. Please come join us and spread the word! Please sign up at bit.ly/humetea, and we will send you our Zoom link.
