In observance of Constitution Day today, we'd like to share the episode where Huell travels to San Pedro, CA to visit the Daughters of the American Revolution's Constitution Day celebration!

In remembrance of those lost and injured during the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, we'd like to share this emotional episode of Huell visiting an American Red Cross blood donation center just a few days after the attacks. Huell saw first-hand how people of various backgrounds and beliefs came together in a time of tragedy and loss to show support for their country and its citizens. Never Forget.

Happy Friday, everyone! In today's episode, we will be taking to the skies with the Blue Angels! Huell visits the Naval Air Facility in El Centro, where the Blue Angels train for a few months every winter. We especially like the part of the program where Huell gets a once in lifetime opportunity to ride with one of the Blue Angels, Lieutenant Scott Beare. Huell's reaction, at timestamp 12:33, is priceless!

In this week's episode, we take a look at singing cowboys! Huell meets famous western duo Roy Rogers and Dale Evans; and Herb Jeffries, who starred in black westerns in the 1930s. In concluding this program, Huell visits and watches the 17th Annual Black Cowboy Parade in Oakland, California, which celebrates the contributions of people of color in the settling of the West.

Happy Friday, Huell fans! In today's episode, we look back on popular episode of California's Gold, Huell's visit to See's Candies in San Francisco and Los Angeles. First, Huell visits one of the earliest shops to open in San Francisco and meets with current and past employees. While there, Huell also talks with regular customers who come in to purchase their particular favorite type of Sees Candy. Then he travels to Los Angeles for a tour of the inner sanctum of the See’s Candy factory where the historic candies are actually made. Itâs an assembly line like none other in the world, manned by employees who have been with the company for years. The story of See’s Candy is indeed a true California success story one of which Mary See surely would be proud!

Rarely do we see Huell Howser doing both the work of interviewer AND cameraman. But with his short lived series, Hot Summer Nights, you get to see an even more uninhibited Huell do what he does best: sharing the stories and lives of down-to-earth people. Largely unscripted and unchoreographed, but still the same Huell charm! In this episode of Hot Summer Nights, Huell explores various locations and activities happening on Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles, CA.

It is with great sadness that we share the news about the passing of Slater Barron, also known as the Lint Lady. She is one of the most often mentioned personalities that Huell Howser fans talk about when discussing their favorite episodes. The following information was shared to us by Slater Barron's daughter, Jennifer: Slater Barron passed away on Saturday, May 30 at 12:245pm in her home. She created beautiful and unique artwork and will continue to contribute to society b...y having herself donated to the USC Alzheimer Disease Research Center. The family will be setting up a memorial page and a virtual memorial at a later date, details of which we are not aware of yet, but will share as soon as we find out. In celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, we'd like to share the episode of Huell's visit to the USC Pacific Asia Museum, located in Pasadena, California. This museum is dedicated to sharing and promoting cultural awareness through the arts of Asia and the Pacific Islands.

Happy Friday! In today's episode we enjoy the scenic beauty from Lake Tahoe towards the California state line aboard an original Zephyr railcar and part of the California Zephyr, a train that traveled from Chicago to Oakland, operating from 1949 to 1970. Made famous by the train's "Vista-Dome" cars, Huell learns about the train's history by interviewing employees and fans of the train.

Going through some of the earlier sections of Huell Howser's catalog, we were reminded of some of Huell's earlier episodes. His early episodes just show you how his style hasn't changed much over the years and how he landed on something special, with that home movie-like presentation and appeal. In this episode, we join Huell as he experiences two very different occasions of "living history," activities that incorporate historical tools, displays, and interactive presentations as a way to educate and give an audience a sense of stepping back in time. *Note: Our photo function is not working properly on Facebook, so unfortunately we cannot post a screenshot of the episode on the link.
