Attention Community: Joyce Overton "(Executive director) of the Highlands Senior Center applied for & received a grant for 26 pallets of Dog/Cat food & Litter from PetSmart--Phoenix Arizona. [Thank you so much PetSmart]. UPDATE: I recently have been made aware of pertinent facts; I would be remiss not to mention that there were other people and organizations involved in the grant and generous donation from PetSmart. I would like to thank Dorothy Romoni & Jameson Ranch. T...hey were also active in helping to receive this grant for our County. It was a collaboration of multiple people working together to benefit Lake County! The goal for the donations is to support the Clearlake Senior Center "PAWS" program (Pets and Wellness for Seniors), Local Rescues, Animal Control--Clearlake and Lakeport and all Lake County Senior Centers. "PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE SENIOR CENTER OR JOYCE IF YOU ARE NOT A RESCUE, ANIMAL CONTROL, OR AFFILIATED WITH A LAKE COUNTY SENIOR CENTER " After the Distribution is complete we will have an event or a date & time to come to Highlands Senior Center for the general public to receive Dog/Cat food donations!
