CONGRATULATIONS! SF Hackers’ performance at the FLL Los Angeles Regional final. The team won two awards in Robot Design and Robot Performance at the December 12th Championship Tournament. The team scored the highest 515 points and is the only team that broke the 500 marks in the LA region.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Justin Y.s First Lego League (FLL) team, SF Hackers, won the first place Core Values award and the first place Robot Performance award during the Los Angeles Regional FLL Qualifying Tournament on November 22nd. The team scored the highest 495 points in the region's robot game competition. The team advances to the championship tournament which will be held on December 12th. We are off to a great start! Our students and their families have already donated 834 total items for our community food drive! You have until Wednesday, November 18 at 5:00pm to get your donations in. If you drop your items off tomorrow between 3-5pm you will also be able to buy individually wrapped treats from our Junior High Student Council. All donations and proceeds from the bake sale benefit Foothill Unity Center. The grade collecting the most items will win (virtual) ...lunch with Mr. Stern and a special treat! It Takes A (High Point) Village - It’s always gratifying to realize a long term goal but even better when it becomes a team effort. Richman’s book, "Galilea, Galilea: A Novel," is the culmination of a life-long interest in science and the desire to entertain with a creative ‘voice’, and more recently, to provide a fun respite from the news of the day.

Student Council Takes to the Streets - For the first time ever, the Student Council hosted a Carline Bake Sale, which included cookies, drinks, treats, and Eagle Spirit gear. All the drinks/treats were $1, and Eagle Spirit gear was regular price. Seventh and eighth graders came out in droves to support the Student Council and see their friends from the safety of their cars (with masks, of course). http://edl.io/n1306620
