This Bob Whelen article explains why we have the high-temp option for CElipse wingtips. If you're just looking for the better maneuverability and quicker pylon laps, save a few bucks and go with the standard process tips. But be sure to paint them white or a similar light color. If you just gotta have the darker colors, go with the high-temp option. We use special high-temperature resin systems, and run every carbon fiber part through a two-stage post-curing process that ensures that they retain full material properties right up to 260 F. It costs a bit more, but the flexibility in style and color is more than worth it!

I went out to the airport to do a test fit of the latest set of CElipse wingtips onto a set of L-39 wings that were racked up for storage. The dihedral and trailing edge alignment from our fixtures were spot on.
