Dear Friends, I hope this note finds you and your family well. In these difficult times we are looking forward to when we can get back to a new normal and re-engage with our friends, family and Chico community.... This spring holiday season has been different. While today’s technology has opened windows for connection and communication never seen in years past, I believe it is not a substitute for a child’s laugh or loved one’s hug. Social distancing is a new concept for most of us but a necessary feature to help create hope that our lives will emerge in a safe and new light. We must accept finite disappointment, but we must never lose infinite hope. Martin Luther King, Jr. We are trying to learn what a new normal will be in a dental office to provide a high level of safe dental care while retaining the personal relationships that define who we are. I have been in contact with many dental colleagues around the country over these past weeks. What I have learned is that, how we will change to protect you and ourselves is changing daily. At this time there is no one definitive directive for protection. However, as we have demonstrated for our entire relationship, we will do what is needed for safety and to provide you with the level and quality of care needed to help keep you healthy for many years to come. Once we are able to re-enter our office we will be contacting everyone who had an appointment during this hiatus and create a new schedule. Please be understanding as we work to handle all of your needs. Certainly the unknown can be scary. But we have been here before Chico. And resilience is in our blood. I believe that if we work to be as prepared as possible for the changes we will encounter, we will be able to pick up the pieces and move on to a stable ground.
