Whenever an adult talks to me about being concerned with making their child write, the first thing I ask is: Do they ever see you writing?. The same holds ...true for saying please and thank you. Children do not need adults to direct them with Tell her thank you.. They simply need to see YOU say thank you each and every time it’s appropriate. They are watching and learning ALWAYS.

Interrupting a toddler's inborn desire to explore and discover to give a lesson in letters, numbers or reading is like painting a house before the foundation is built. It discourages them from working on what is really important, and wastes both our child’s time and ours.

this is exactly what i firmly believe in for my kiddos here. I do not pressure them to do anything but let them lead in play
