Holistic Belly Nutrition + Birth Support

There are some new faces around here, and I don’t think I’ve ever done one of these introductions before, so I thought it’s about time I’m Lenore Musambacine and the doula behind Holistic Belly. (Not for too much longer, I’m changing things up a little and SO excited about where this work is taking me! Will be sharing more next month, so keep an eye out for announcements coming soon.) ... My pronouns are she/her and I respectfully live on occupied Ohlone land. After years of ancestral devotion, prayer and major life changes, I am BLESSED with a beautiful family and an incredible career. As a first generation daughter of Italian immigrants, I had a unique upbringing in NYC. That city will always have my heart as it shaped a large part of who I am today but I love where this journey has taken me. I’ve lived and traveled to some beautiful places around the world, but so happy I get to call Northern California home. Although I can be a pretty private person and have major introvert tendencies, Covid has made me realize how much I love (most) people and how badly Ive been missing social connections. What’s been harder are the limitations on birthwork, the impact it’s had on us doulas, but more so on those giving birth without the support they need or those newly postpartum navigating their experience in isolation. One of my 2021 intentions is sharing more of myself on this platform, what I love, and what I do as I’ve been so genuinely moved and impacted by the authenticity, stories, and accomplishments of so many folks I follow in this space. Receiving my Level 1 Reiki attunement this Fall has really helped me connect with myself more deeply. It has accelerated my healing process from an abdominal surgery I had last month and it’s also offered me a sense of inner balance and peace that’s been so valuable while navigating the ebbs and flows of pandemic life. Thank you @ashley.reikiyoga for sharing this gift with me. What’s been even more exciting than feeling firsthand all of these amazing benefits is looking towa...rd 2021 with some new offerings integrating birthwork with other work I’m passionate about. I’ll be sharing more about that, but in the meantime knowing how therapeutic this healing energy can be, I’m really looking forward to offering reiki at births and postpartum sessions with my clients.
