My four-legged business partner and I took the afternoon off yesterday to enjoy this beautiful weather we’ve been blessed with. There is nothing more soothing, wonderful, or inspirational than feeling that ocean breeze and hearing the powerful rumble of the waves. Or, if you’re Stella, there’s nothing better than swimming in seaweed filled salt water, chasing other pups, foaming at the mouth with excitement, and jumping in every mud puddle you can find. I made the syrup by infusing brown sugar and water with blackberries, rosemary, hibiscus, ginger, and lavender. Each herbal element corresponds with Imbolc or the goddess Brigid. The intentions of protection, intuition, awakening, hope, fertility, and illumination. Mixed with whiskey (I use Lyre’s non-alcoholic American Malt, but you could use a...ny you prefer). tonic, and a squeeze of lemon, it’s a refreshing libation to cheer on the near arrival of spring.
