We are excited to announce we are forming a long-term relationship with a local animal rescue; Community Effort Animal Rescue! Here is a short video we took dur...ing one of our volunteer visits to care for their cats. We cannot wait to show you the great things to come from this and we thank each one of you that has believed in Life Over Death Fitness so far. Don't worry, we will show you other animals besides cats :D We will be keeping you up to date on everything that we do because of your purchases and also work on organizing days when you can come out and join us to help! About this rescue; CEAR is a non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, rehab and rehome of animals. They do not only have dogs and cats, but a variety of animals ranging from guinea pigs to horses. If you are in the area and would like to get involved, we strongly encourage you to experience how rewarding it can be. Please don’t get a dog if you’re going to just keep the poor thing outside. If you aren’t willing to train and love the dog then don’t get one. Make sure you have the time - and the willingness to work with whatever issues you may come across. Each dog is different and has their own personality! They don’t come perfect and already trained! Impulse control games with miss Compostela With a puppy that bites at your hands for treat, becomes anxious when she sees you have something you want, or can’t give you eye contact because all her focus is on what’s in your hand; impulse control games are your best friend! I begin by showing her the treat in my hand then closing my fist. If she bites at it, let her. Once she backs up, click and treat. She will start to learn that being calm and quiet gets her the reward.... You can up this game by then placing the treat on the ground and simply putting your hand over it! See more
