In relational mindfulness, we practice mindfulness in interactions with other people. Paying attention to others and receiving attention from others can help us deepen concentration and mindfulness. Relational mindfulness is always grounded in the practices of kindness and joy. In this workshop we will cultivate curious, open attention amid live interactions with other people. We are offering simultaneous classes for all ages, with age-appropriate relational mindfulness exercises facilitated by a trusted leader. During this series people of all ages will deepen their capacity to enjoy the simplest sorts of interactions with others. . Whether we are aware of it or not, we’re always answering "a question" in life by the way we make decisions, interpret events, and interact with others. This is a course about mindful living in action, taking the awareness we cultivate on the cushion and bringing it to our deepest and least explored assumptions, the ones that lock us into habits and patterns we never chose, and that keep us from developing the ones we really want. An anchor is something we can always return to... in natural awareness practice, our anchor is awareness! Since awareness isn’t tangible, anchoring in awareness can create anxiety. . Use this tip for returning back to your anchor of the breath or physical body sensations to decrease any feelings of anxiety or groundlessness. . #dianawinston #mindfulness #naturalawareness #ucla #meditation #thelittlebookofbeing
