The Sunday immediately after Easter Sunday is Divine Mercy Sunday. Pope Saint John Paul II instituted this feast, at the request of Jesus’ private revelations t...o Saint Faustina Kowalska. The pope refers to this message of divine mercy and the connection between the "Easter Mystery of the Redemption" the suffering, death, burial, resurrection, and ascension of Christ, followed by the sending of the Holy Spirit and this Feast of Divine Mercy, the Octave Day of Easter. The Holy Father said: "Before speaking the words in the upper room after the resurrection: 'Peace be with you,’ Jesus shows His hands and His side. Join us today at 1pm for the first annual Pro-Life March in Temecula. We’ll meet at Harveston Park and process in prayer and song to the abortion clinic. The usual 4pm Vigil Mass at Holy Martyrs will begin at 5pm and will be a Requiem (Funeral) Mass for the repose of the souls of those lost through abortion.
