Thursday afternoon we hosted a VNA flu shot clinic. VNA is a wonderful organization that does so much good for our community. Thank you Steve McShane for your support of Active Seniors and our community. Thank you VNA for your support to our community.

Active Seniors is looking forward to being open again, once we are approved to open. The board and leadership have been meeting and have safety and security measures in place for reopening. We all miss our social times and the physical work outs and are anxiously awaiting the time when we can all get together again. We look forward to seeing all your smiling faces again soon, even if it is just the twinkle in your eyes above your mask!

Active Seniors will miss Mayor Joe Gunter. Our condolences to Lisa and family. Joe was not only mayor but was a great friend and member of our organization. He loved Salinas and it showed in everything he did. Rest in peace Joe. You will be missed.

Hey Karen and Robert, did you know that June 21st is International Yoga Day?

In the past, I gave a talk about "The History of Radio" and it was based on my extensive antique radio collection. During this "shelter in place" period of time it was suggested that I put together a "virtual" tour of my radio museum......so I have done that. Now if you are bored and have 37 minutes of time to watch the entire video then click on the image below to view the video of over 1000 radios in my collection, most of them are standard broadcast radios, but about 100 p...lus are ham radios and test equipment. See if you can recognize one of the broadcast radios that may have been in your home or your grand parents home. Some of these radios are nearly 100 years old so it is conceivable that you may recognize one your grandpa listened to when you visited them! Let me know if you recognize any of them!
