The Santa Fe Station had an instrumental role in Fontana. It was a great source of transportation for Fontana residents wanting to travel to Los Angeles, Mountain Areas, or to the East. The train line was also used by Fontana businesses, such as Fontana Farms Company and the Fontana Citrus Association. The colored photo is the 1926 Santa Fe Depot and the black & white photos were taken in 1880 of the original depot station.
U.S. Rabbit Experiment Station, was the first of its kind. It was established through the U.S. Department of Agriculture and Fontana Farms Company on February 1928. This station was used to study the breeding, feeding, handling, and to improve methods of disease control of rabbits. The Station was located at the intersection of Cypress Avenue and the Pacific Electric trail, so the current location of the Cypress Community Center.

A Then & Now picture of the Pagliuso Family Chapel. The chapel was built in 1925 by the Pagliuso Family as a place of worship for Margaret Pagliuso. Only Margaret was provided a bench inside while others gathered outside to attend Mass. The chapel was originally built for the personally use of Margaret who was a devoted Catholic and needed a place to worship. The chapel was moved from the family's vineyard by Jurupa Hills to the present site in 2005, just west of the Art Depot, it is believed to be the smallest Catholic Church. For more information come by the Fontana Historical Society!
