High School Dropout to Harvard: My Life with Dyslexia 01.02.2021

Our next workshop is happening in partnership with Decoding Dyslexia later this month in San Diego, CA. You can find our event page here http://bit.ly/DyslexicKidsCode These workshops go to the core of dyslexic strengths for our kids: three-dimensional thinking, creating, hands-on learning, arts and engineering. Why are we doing these workshops? Because no one else is putting on this kind of workshop for families with dyslexic children. These workshops are free or low cost. Our kids struggle in school and often the day-to-day narrative is that they’re not good enough or smart enough. Dyslexic adults know what this is like; we lived it. At ThinkLexic, we know kids with dyslexia are super smartthey just need to be taught in a way that allows them to shine. We want to help inspire the next generation of tech creators and engineers.

I had a great time Speaking at Antelope Valley College in Lancaster, California! Dr. Morenike Adebayo-ige (Reading Faculty, Rhetoric & Literacy), Dr. Bonnie Suderman (Vice President of Academic Affairs) and Ed Knudson (President Antelope Valley College) are doing amazing work inspiring kids with dyslexia, ADHD and other learning differences to pursue their strengths! Fighting to make a better world for kids with dyslexia! ThinkLexic.org
