Space is still available for the Sculpture with Jake class! . . In this class, students work for 6 weeks on a ceramic portrait or self-portrait. The process begins by finding reference material. The pieces themselves will be constructed from solid clay and hollowed before firing. Considerable time will be given to discussion, demonstration, and construction of the details of the piece facial features, proportions, approaches to hair. Towards the end of the session compon...ents such as hands or small ceramic pedestal can be added, and glazing suggestions will be given. . .
