Hello Patrons of the High Desert Center for the Arts, We wanted to reach out, as many other businesses have, to tell you that we make the safety and well-being of our local community top priority when you visit the High Desert Center for the Arts. We’re taking the necessary precautions to keep our facilities clean and sanitized. We’ll be cleaning and disinfecting every public surface (counters, sinks, toilets, table tops, door handles, chair arms, etc.) before and after eac...h performance. Public health officials are enacting a number of measures to limit the spread of coronavirus; High Desert Center for the Arts supports these initiatives. According to the CDC, the risk at this time of contracting the virus is low. Like a lot of businesses, we are asking you to stay informed (based on factual information) and be prepared but not anxious, and to do your own part and ensure our community stays as healthy as possible. COVID-19 transmission occurs like the spread of the flu (influenza). To reduce the risk of infection, the CDC recommends washing hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, and avoiding touching eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands. We will be posting correct hand washing reminders in our restrooms. Please use common sense practices to keep our community healthy; if you are feeling sick or think you’ve been exposed to anyone who is sick, we ask that you please stay home to reduce further transmission. We are keeping in close contact with the CDC and local governments in regards to any new developments, as the health and safety of our community of patrons, our production companies, and our many actors that hone their craft here are our top priority. We are continuing to offer productions, rehearsal space, classes and everything else that we do here at the High Desert Center for the Arts and ask for your utmost support during this time.
