Miss Gallegos was my daughter’s 4th grade teacher at Hidden Hills Elementary School. Miss Gallegos was one of the best teachers my daughter had and many in the community have the same experience. She always had a smile on her face and was fully giving. It is unfortunate that this selfless teacher a mother of 2 is fighting stage 4 cancer. We would like to express our deepest appreciation for your contribution and support of our School, without which many of our programs would not be available. Gaining status as a National Blue Ribbon School, and California Distinguished School this past year, are a testament to the exceptional learning environment we have fostered. These programs and supports include: - The Learning Lab, which provides reading support for our children - Classroom and general supplies - Instructional Assistants - Classroom Music, Chorus, and Instrumental Programs - Vocal Music program for all grades - Art Program for all grades We are facing a serious shortfall ($70,000) in donations this year. This is especially challenging because many of the traditional fund-raising activities, such as the live auction and fall carnival, cannot be held due to the pandemic (Budget: $200,000; Donations: $130,000). In the unfortunate scenario that the significant gap does not get reduced, we will be forced to cut funding for critical programs in the upcoming school year. This is certainly not the outcome any of us want. Substantial funds can be obtained for the school by utilizing your employer’s Corporate Matching program. Last year, we were able to raise $40,000; the year prior we raised $55,000. Through your participation, your generous donations can be as much as doubled by your employer.
