Take time to consider the specific issues facing your neighborhood and community, then lift those needs up to the Lord in prayer. Seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you ... and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare. (Jeremiah 29:7)

Day 25 of our 30 days of prayer for our nation (provided by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association) The ideas that influenceand create public policy often begin in our nation’s colleges and universities. Will you pray for the teachers, professors, and administrators leading these schools? Ask God to save men and women who are far from Him, and pray that open positions would be filled with strong believers. See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ. (Colossians 2:8)

Day 24 of 30 days of prayer for our nation (provided by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association). Among Americans who identify as Christians, only 25% say they regularly read God’s Word, pray, and spend time in fellowship with other believers. During this time when God’s truth and His church are under attack, pray that He will transform many of these men and women into bold witnesses for Jesus Christ. The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion. (Proverbs 28:1)

Been working on next Sunday's message "Dear Church..." (Part 6). The last couple of messages have been challenging and convicting. God has been giving us words of warning and repentance. Pray for your local elected officials including city council, school board members, and all those who lead in your community. Ask God to grant them wisdom and strength to govern rightlywith justice, mercy, and humility. He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? (Micah 6:8)

We are setting Sunday aside as a day of prayer and fasting for our nation. We will be taking some time to pray for our country during our service. Our nation needs a move of God like never before. P. Scott

Pray for the thousands of Christian students who attend state schools and universities across the nation. Many of these young men and women face hostility for their beliefs, so please ask the Lord to strengthen and embolden them as they stand for Him. Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)

In the book The Battle Plan for Prayer; From Basic Training to Targeted Strategies that came out of the movie The War Room Stephen and Alan Kendrick write these powerful words about prayer.... Prayer is our armored tank. And when put into action by God’s people, the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. (Matt. 16:18 KJV). Prayer is our major assault weapon in battlle...Prayer can do anything. Because with God, all things are possible (Matt. 19:26). It can rea...ch out and address any issue that anyone is facing anywhere on the earthSo this is not just a harmless little church ritual we’re talking about. Nor a pitiful beggar asking for a handout he’s almost sure he won’t receive. There’s raw power here. There’s access to God Almighty. There’s certainty of His sovereignty. There’s boldness that no amount of enemy resistance can steal unless we give it away. And that only happens when we don’t prayPrayer is what infuses all our efforts and the genuine concerns of our hearts with God’s boundless ability. Prayer is what frames our pressing, short-term issues with God’s eternal perspective, showing us just how temporary-and endurable and winnable-even our most intense battles truly are. Prayer means hope. Prayer means help. Prayer means relief. Prayer means power. See more
