Celebrating 5 years (and planning the next phase!) of the Fostering Futures Initiative with the San Diego Grantmakers. Many dedicated people working together to strengthen supports for transitioning foster youth.

Just getting around to sharing a few photos of our recent retreat with the 115th Congress Stennis Fellows. What a remarkable group of true public servants! All senior staff, half house, half senate and half R/half D, these folks care deeply about the institution of Congress. We spent the weekend reflecting on a year-long program of in-depth learning and developing tangible ideas to increase civility and dialogue at all levels of the institution.

So much respect for the amazing team at Interfaith Community Services! They all worked very hard (and had a lot of fun) at a staff strategic planning retreat last week, and the results were truly inspiring. These folks touch so many lives in the North County, and are poised to help even more people stabilize and improve their lives.

Home from an inspiring few days in beautiful Asheville, NC helping to facilitate the Southern Women in Public Service Conference with the great folks at the Stennis Center. These women were fierce, funny and intent on changing the world. Thanks, y'all! I had a blast!

We were excited to work with the Alliance for Regional Solutions to design and facilitate their North County Summit on homelessness, bringing together leaders, advocates and providers from 9 North County Cities and the County of SD to develop regional approaches to addressing homelessness. Excited to see the ideas generated being put into action!

It was an honor to have had the opportunity to work with (and learn from) Dan Yankelovich. His vision for engagement and civic dialogue is at the heart of so much of our work.
