Let’s take some time to reflect. . . Have you ever told yourself that you would workout more, eat healthier and/or be more mindful? .... . Setting a goal starts with a thought then we must put it into action. Believe it or not, there’s a wrong way of setting a goal and that’s to be as vague as possible. . . Instead of ending your thought, add action. Setting S.M.A.R.T goals are a great way to start achieving your goals sooner and more consistently. S.M.A.R.T goals help you clarify your ideas, focus your efforts and increase success. . S - Specific: Be specific about your goal. What exactly do you want to accomplish? M - Measurable: What can you measure in your stated goal? Frequency? Time? Number of Repetitions or Sets? A - Achievable/Attainable: Can you realistically accomplish your goal? Set yourself up for success! If I told myself I will climb Mt. Everest tomorrow, I know I’m overreaching. R - Relevant: Does your goal align with your values or a larger, long-term goal? T - Time-bound: What is your time-frame? Setting an end-date will help keep you motivated and prioritize your focus. . Practice using the first goal of I will workout more. Follow the steps above. The new S.M.A.R.T goal might look something like this I will go for a walk/run/jog 3 times this week. Achieve this goal and continue to expand on it. Use that momentum! It’s a lot easier to build off momentum than to start from a dead stop. . . Comment below with a S.M.A.R.T goal you’re setting for yourself! Our Functional Group Training program is moving outside!! We are happy to announce our outdoor training program will be starting this upcoming Monday, August 3rd. Members will have their own designated stations with equipment already set up for each person. You may bring your own mat if you’d like but we’ll have mats, bands, weights, etc. all ready for you! Just make sure to bring a towel, plenty of water and even a friend! Your first class is on us. We want to help you get back on your fitness journey! Are you ready for your next step?
