Elopements are considered small and intimate weddings. When someone says they are eloping there are a lot of misconceptions that go along with it. Let’s talk about them, if you are on the fence about eloping this might help clear up some of those misconceptions... Elopements are only for the couple. They can be or you can include close family and friends (I usually say up to 20 guest) Elopements have a quick timeline and not as meaningful: We disagree! When we create the t...imeline for our couples on their day we make sure that they still do everything they want to during that day from getting ready, to walking down the aisle to taking sunset pictures. Elopements are for couples who just want to get married at the courthouse: 99% of my elopements do NOT take place at a courthouse. Most my elopements are destinations!! We dive deeper into all this and give you some tips and tricks in today’s blog post!! So if you or someone you know is planing to elope save this post and jump on over to the blog!! #elopementphotographer #bigsurweddingphotographer #californiaadventure #californiaelopementphotographer

The best love is the kind that awakens the soul; that makes us reach for more, that plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds. That's what I hope to give you forever. -The Notebook

Vows Should you write your own vows? Writing heartfelt vows, will give you the chance to open up and express your feelings. It can feel overwhelming to write your own vows but it can also be a wonderful addition to your wedding day. ... Seeing couples read and write their own vows is one of my favorite elopement moments. Each couple seems to take a unique spin on how they want to express and define their love and it’s beautiful. A few tips for vow writing: SET THE MOOD Turn on a playlist or song in the background that has meaning to you as a couple. Maybe flip through old photos and recount your love story. How did you meet, what’s your favorite adventure you have shared, who popped the question and how. Make A List Define your partner and make a list of all the reasons you love them. Make Promises Think of the promises you want to make on your wedding day. These can include traditional vows, religious vows or something more personal. If you plan on writing your own vows make sure to save this post!! Would you write your own vows?? See more

f you know me then I know I am obsessed with the moon... The moon is a loyal companion. It never leaves. It’s always there, watching, steadfast, knowing us in our light and dark moments, changing forever just as we do. Every day it’s a different version of itself. Sometimes weak and wan, sometimes strong and full of light. The moon understands what it means to be human. Uncertain. Alone. Cratered by imperfections.... Tahereh Mafi Tonight is a full moon. Happy New Year It is a new year and I think while many of us are excited to see 2020 go we are feeling anxious about how 2021 will look. With the start of a new year it is a great time to reflect on your growth of the previous year. Instead of trying to predict or control what 2021 has in store for us we can use this time to reflect on the growth we experienced last year and set intentions for ourselves for the upcoming year. A new year provides us the o...pportunity to review what we’ve learned. Growth can be painful, and I think 202 was a struggle for the entire world. ALong with that struggle came growth and allowed us to prove our resilience. Looking back over the last 12 months, I am grateful for the challenges I have endured. It is in these obstacles that taught me how to conquer, and find the courage it takes to align with what really matters to me and what my purpose is. We can use the end of the year to truly explore our failures and, ultimately, our successes. We ask ourselves where we could’ve made better decisions. We can make sure we are aligned and living from our hearts and true intentions. We have control over the little decisions we make daily, and those little actions add up to lead us to different paths. By setting intentions and being mindful of how we react to challenges we can set ourselves up for growth and strength in the new year. Setting intentions helps to direct the mind. It allows us to find and focus on our purpose. I dive more into this topic on the blog today, so grab a cozy drink and head on over. LINK in bio I hope this year brings hope, light love and healing for you. #meditation g #motivation #businesscoach #entrepreneur #inspiration #lifestyle #goals #mindset #business #leadership #mindfulness #entrepreneurship #selflove #happiness #personalgrowth #positivevibes See more

Sunrise Elopements Sunrise makes even the most crowded spots private. We had been at this exact spot the night before for sunset with another couple and there were 7 other couples exchanging vows at the same time. ... The next morning we had the entire spot to ourselves!! The practical benefit of sunrise cannot be overstated. Sunrise is often it’s own private show and you’re FAR less likely to have to share a popular place with other couples. Making a sunrise vow exchange the perfect way to have an intimate wedding ceremony at a popular location like a Taft Point in Yosemite. While still giving you private space to share your vows with your partner. The nature of a sunrise experience will remind you to savor the moments you have with all of those around you. Once day breaks, you exchange your vows and your entire wedding day lies before you to enjoy as you wish. I will always love sunsets, but recent years have taught me to enjoy sunrise as well. I really love them both!! Are you more of a sunrise or sunset person?? Winter This is always that odd week between Christmas and the New Year. It’s usually a week I love to travel and escape somewhere warm. I am always chasing that endless summer. This year I am taking this week a bit slower and staying closer to home. We have been on the road between or hikes and we have listening The Wintering by Katherine May ... The subtitle is How I learned to flourish when life became frozen. Winter is a fallow period in life when you are cut off from the world...Perhaps you are in a period of transition and have temporarily fallen between two worlds... However it arrives winter is usually involuntary, lonely and deeply painful. ....I'm worried that its about doing less, about staying home and giving up on adventures for a while. That's not something I want to learn. That last part resonates with me, this year has felt like a wintering for sure! Its a good read, slow paced and thoughtful, and very applicable to current times. What are you doing to enjoy this slower paced time between Christmas and the new year? . . . . #travelphotography #couplesgoals #elopementphotographer #destinationwedding
