Zoom made an announcement last week that they will ASR captions (Live Transcription) free for those who need it by Fall 2021. Although this is a step in the right direction, it still comes with it's challenges. We are happy to share that on March 15th you can join our support group and learn from our friend Pieter Doevendans from Ava how to access captions anytime you need them on your smartphone or computer. Are you over 65 and trying to find a place to get the Covid Vaccine? Safeway is opening a Vaccine Clinic at SF State University. Individuals age 65+ will be eligible for vaccination today, 2/3, and Thursday, 2/4. The clinic will continue to provide vaccinations every Wednesday and Thursday throughout the month of February. Please note, the eligibility age stated on the website recently changed from 75+ to 65+. Click on the link to register!

While clear masks are a crucial tool for communication, they come with their challenges. The main complaint from users is how they fog up almost instantly. Luckily there is a simple solution! All you'll need is dish soap (any brand will do!) and a q-tip. Simply spread a thin layer of dish soap onto your mask and allow it to dry. Gently wipe off any residue and your mask won't fog up! This will need to be repeated after washing your mask and may need to be repeated during the ...day. To adjust your mask, place the loop at the crown or back of your head. Gently tug on the loose ends until the mask tightens comfortably around your face. Finally tie the loose ends around the base of your neck!
