Mr. O'Neal brought in his "laundered" hearing aids. He was nervous about them not working again but he did everything right. Getting hearing aids wet is not recommended, but they do have some level of protection built in. If this happens, open the battery doors and place them on a paper towel or on a coffee filter on top of some dry rice. If you have rechargeable aids, power them down and do the same process. Next, give us a call and let us know what happened. We have different steps we take in the office to clear them out and try to bring them back to life.

Miss D came in for her appt and was really happy with her new aids. She only had one struggle and that was with the mask getting tangled in the aids and knocking them off. We have starting making "Ear Savers" or "Hearing Aid Savers" to hand out to the patients who were having that same struggle. Problem solved!
