HBCSD is excited to welcome students back to our campuses on Monday, October 26, 2020 for elementary school students and on Monday, November 2, 2020 for middle school students. Earlier today, the district released a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) document on the district website (www.hbcsd.k12.ca.us) that covers COVID-19 Health Guidelines, Practices, and Responsibilities to help families prepare for the safe return to schools. In the "Health Practices" section, the distric...t provides an update to the student face mask policy. The CDC advises that the use of face masks, when worn properly, has proven to be the best practice to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. As such, it is mandatory that all HBCSD students, in all grade levels (TK - 8th), wear a face mask while on campus during in-person learning. Please go to www.hbcsd.k12.ca.us or click on the attached PDF to access the full document. Orange County Department of Education
On Tuesday, October 6, 2020 the HCBSD Board of Trustees accepted the District's Phase 2 Return to School Plan to physically return students to campus under the current COVID-19 restrictions. HBCSD's Phase 2 Plan provides for reduced class size and in-person instruction, four days a week, in either a morning (AM) or afternoon (PM) format. Students will be able to return to HBCSD campuses, that meet or exceed California's Department of Public Health's COVID-19 guidance for a safe return to schools. Go to www.hbcsd.k12.us for details!
