New Update from the HYC Hayfork Yoga Center now has permission from the Trinity County Health Department to reopen and is preparing for this with many adjustments for your safety. We are very interested in knowing who is feeling ready to return to yoga classes (aye) and who will be waiting a while longer before coming back (nay). We do miss you all, but we want everyone to be safe and feel comfortable. Please review the following guidelines for reopening, see if they will wor...k for you, and let us know aye or nay. As always, if you would like to be removed from this email list, let us know by replying to this email. NEW GUIDELINES: 1. SPACING: The floor of the studio is now marked in 7' x 7' spaces. This will provide 7’ distance between mats, centered in each space and will limit each class to five students per class (or less if the teacher so chooses.) 2. CLASS REGISTRATION: Students will need to register for each class directly with the teacher to guarantee a space. We want to avoid having people show up and and get turned away. Teachers will do a risk assessment with each student before acceptance into a class. Teachers reserve the right to refuse a student, or ask for a waiting period if they feel it is needed. Contact info for yoga studio teachers will be provided in the next email, along with class schedule. 3. PROPS: For now, while we are figuring out sanitation protocols for studio props, we cannot let students use them. Students will need to bring their own yoga mat, 2 blankets and a pillow or 2 from home. The most important thing is getting us all back on the mat, so teachers will make classes work with minimal props. In the future, the studio MAY make an order, and you can pre-order your props (at cost) on this order. If there is a prop you really need, you may want to order your own. It might also be helpful to leave props in your car between classes so they aren’t forgotten at home. If you need a mat, the studio has green mat material in a roll, $2.50/ ft , $15 for a 6ft mat. Your teacher will need to cut the mat ahead of time. 4. SELF-ASSESSMENT: Before entering the studio, please self assess: Ask yourself: Do you or have you had a fever, cough, sore throat, or unusual headache in the last two weeks? Have you taken multiple trips to Redding or out of the county in the last 2 weeks? 5. ARRIVAL: Arrive at the studio dressed for class. We recommend arriving 5 minutes early to allow time to enter the studio separately. Door will be open to minimize shared contact with the door handle. 6. MASKS: Wear a mask. Masks need to be worn unless you are on your mat. When on your mat, masks will be optional. Masks MAY be required in certain classes. We'll list this in the class descriptions, and the teacher should also specify this when you register for your class. 7. The studio, including the bathroom, will be disinfected before each class. Thank you all for your patience and understanding!

Dear Friends of our Yoga Community, In this time of isolation we are so lucky to have our loving Yoga family connection. The studio is closed, and many of us are not good at doing yoga alone, but we hope you are taking refuge and getting exercise on the yoga mat. As a community we have resources that individually we may not have access too. So please don’t remain quiet if you are in need of any help. I have heard that there is a shortage of vegetable seeds. Let us know, if yo...u want to plant but can’t get seeds. Do you have other needs? Please let us know by Facebook messenger or by posting on this page and we can see if there are resources available. The Yoga studio will stay closed until it is safe to reopen. This may be awhile. Until we can open we will not be collecting any rent. Thank you teachers and practitioners for the loving care you have given to all of us. Namaste. Sooner than later, I hope we will be back together. We will keep the studio ready for your return. Rachel & Dave are working on setting up some meditation times, in which we can all tune in at the same time, watch the same video or listen to the same recording, and both calm ourselves and raise our energies together. We are also working on collecting links to online events, concerts, singalongs, music lessons, etc. This will all be shared on this Facebook page, once it is ready. Feel free to send us feedback on what you would find helpful in this area. Stay Safe and Healthy! Love to you all, Ginny, Rachel, Dave and Judy -- Yoga is a light, which once lit will never dim. The better your practice, the brighter your flame. B.K.S Iyengar
