HRS supports the Black Lives Matter Movement.
Hello community! Important message: We regret to inform you all that the HRS office will be closed until Monday July 20th due to COVID-19 exposure. We take the health of our community very seriously and have been advised by medical experts to quarantine at home until that time. Any questions or concerns can be sent to our agency email: [email protected] We love you all and hope everyone continues to take this pandemic seriously. Please stay safe, wash your hands and wear a mask! The lives of our most vulnerable community members are at stake!
Have you always wanted to work in harm reduction? Here's your chance! HRS is hiring! Please see job post below!!
Harm Reduction Services has always and will continue to support the Black Lives Matter Movement. George Floyd and his family deserve justice. Stephon Clark and his family deserve justice. As do the many Black Americans who are ruthlessly murdered by law enforcement in this country every day. HRS supports radical reform of the criminal justice system, such as defunding the police, so that more evidence-based, community led interventions can receive that funding. ... We are also particularly proud of all the young people who are leading this movement, they have achieved more change in the last two weeks than any politician in the last 20+ years. HRS salutes BLM and all the protesters that have put their bodies on the line to make this country and this world a better, more equitable place. But let us never forget all those who have been murdered unjustly in this country, honor their memory by saying their names: See more
Starting next week (Monday April 13th) we will be expanding the office syringe exchange hours to 2pm-6pm, Monday thru Friday! We are still encouraging participants to practice sheltering in place, so call us to set up a delivery at (916)456-4849 to help #flattenthecurve
The county's main drive-thru testing site has loosened the rules on who can get tested. Now anyone with mild symptoms can quality.
Thanks Patricia Roberts for the mask covers! Don’t worry the staff is keeping our 6 ft distance. And thanks to the participants who brought us baby goats yesterday! What a way to raise our spirits! (We really love baby goats at HRS !)
