I recently listened to a podcast about getting into flow states. A flow state is when you are doing something that is challenging and requires you to be focused and present. It allows you to lose track of time and it is often the happiest time in our lives. This project at Sharp Healthcare was a flow state to the max! I spent 12 hours painting 18 outlet covers and two door frames to match these rad photo wallpapers by @aaronchang. It was super challenging because photos tend to be so much DARKER than murals, so I had to mix black into everything. And all those tiny building windows! Don’t even get me started. But I got to spend 12 hours zoning out listening to AJR and my new favorite podcast Swindled. So not such a bad Saturday.

My friend asked me to come over yesterday and jazz up her white fireplace. I showed up without a plan, and we perused Pinterest and threw some ideas around. She wanted something floral, but not too cute... something not too overwhelming. Here’s what we came up with. What do you think?
