Hiking Stats 6 hours 14km distance 200m elevation change Last night the wind was crazy. The trees kept groaning and the tent walls were caving in. As the last day of any camping trip, I was ready to head back to town to relax, sleep in an actual bed, and have a real meal with a good drink. That was the determination for me the entire day. The day started off good again with some eggs from the tienda and indoor cooking. This morning was even shorter day, but a wet one. It made me feel even better that we crossed the pass yesterday because it was a wet and windy day. I do feel bad for campers behind us who now have to endure the low visibility and tough weather. Hiking Stats 11 hours 30km distance 1900m elevation change This is the big day I have been dreading. Double the distance, 50% more altitude to climb than Torres plus with a pack, and the stories of crazy weather at Paso John Gardner. The hard boiled eggs set a good mood for the beginning of the day.
