I've been experimenting with night photography and, of course, Christmas lights are always fun to TRY and capture!, especially when it's cold! From Country Elegance: To our El Dorado County community- The El Dorado Chamber of Commerce has told the Ishmael family that they must ‘win a lottery’ or pay $500 in order to have one of our beloved decorated Christmas trees along the freeway in town. (If you don’t win a lottery spot, they have 7 tree spots to sell at $500 each) They have done one of these trees for many years, & they had now hoped to do one each year to honor their son Brian who was killed in the line of du...ty. We are doing another fundraiser to pay for the fee this year, & hopefully for years to come. You were all amazing when we did the flag fundraiser, so let’s do this again!!! In closing, contact the El Dorado Chanber of Commerce office & encourage them to not include the Ishmael family tree in their annual lottery! Don’t we think that Brian & his family have sacrificed enough to have earned a spot for as long as they wish to continue the tradition? Drop off your contribution at the store & we will get this to the family ASAP!!! (FYI: The lottery was already held & no one in the Ishmael family won a spot.)
