Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and continued regional stay-at-home orders, registration for the 2021 HYB baseball season has been postponed. The HYB board continues to follow youth sports re-opening guidelines from the state of California, Kings County Health Department, and Hanford Parks & Rec. The HYB board remains hopeful that a 2021 season may be offered, but at this time, it is unknown when that will be. Please continue to check www.hanfordyouthbaseball.com and Hanford Youth Baseball Facebook page for updates. Thank you for your continued interest and support in HYB Cal Ripken. Stay safe and stay healthy!

Hanford Youth Baseball would like to thank all of our families and the community for their continued support and patience during these uncertain times. Due to current circumstances beyond our control surrounding the COVID-19 Pandemic, we are unable to continue our 2020 season. The safety of our young athletes is of upmost importance. We are heartbroken and saddened to have to come to this decision. Please understand that our organization is a nonprofit and will continue to i...ncur expenses, although we are not able to play the remaining games. Our yearly expenses are covered through registration fees, fundraising fees, concession sales, and tournaments. As of now, we are unable to host tournaments, which means no other funding is anticipated this year. REFUNDS After much consideration and a deep dive into our financials, the HYB Board has approved a 42% refund of your paid registration fee per child - this does not include the $100 raffle ticket fee. Every player had the opportunity to sell raffle tickets and recoup the $100 fee. Please consider the following two options: Option 1: Donate your $25 refund (per child) to Hanford Youth Baseball for future needs to the fields. Option 2: Pickup your $25 refund (per child) during these times Monday, June 22nd or Tuesday, June 23rd from 6-8pm In order to obtain your refund on the listed dates above, you will have to be the listed guardian on the child’s registration for the 2020 season and show ID. If you do not pick up during these times, your refund will automatically be donated to the league. We cannot express how deeply saddened we are by this pandemic and the premature end to our season. We tried really hard to make this work. We would like to thank our volunteers, umpires, players and families for your patience and look forward to a great season next year! Please stay safe and healthy, Hanford Youth Baseball

Due to COVID-19, HYB is following the direction of Kings County Public Health Department regarding all health related actions necessary to prevent the spread of COVID-19 virus, and any other diseases, and utilize best practice recommendations from our local health experts. We are following these precautions as are many other sports organizations... -Instead of shaking hands after the game lineup on the baseline, tip your hat to the opposing team and say good game. -Mark wat...er bottles and make sure kids are using proper hygiene. -Do not have a snack exchange between players. -Remind players to wash hands and wipe down any shared equipment. -If players are sick, please keep them home. As of today, there have been 0 cases reported in Kings county and there is low risk to the public as of now. We will proceed with games as normal.
