Hi everyone- N250 is looking for volunteers to help with their Pinning Ceremony. It will take place here at GWC at the Starshower Amphitheater (the outdoor one) on Wednesday May 23. The ceremony will begin at 5:30 PM and help is needed as early as 7 AM (or setup). Please post here if you are available to help :) Certificates will be provided for your portfolio; this will be a great opportunity to help plan for your ceremony! Thanks everyone!

Hi Everyone, If you are looking for an opportunity to work with special needs kids and play in the ocean, please consider volunteering for the Best Day Foundation on Sunday, April 29th. The director of the Makapo Aquatics Project is a very dear friend of mine and part of my paddling o'hana. You will never forget this day!! Mahalo,... Becki Snellen Class of Spring 2013 On April 29th Makapo and the Newport Aquatics Center (NAC) will be hosting The Best Day Foundation event at NAC. Best Day provides paddling, surfing, kayaking etc. for kids with special needs - Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Visual Impairment, Cancer, Spinal Cord injuries etc. We have supported their events in Dana Point for the last two years and now have the honor of hosting them at NAC. IF YOU HAVEN’T VOLUNTEERED FOR BEST DAY YET IT IS A BLAST!!!! We need volunteers from 8am 2pm on Sunday April 29th. Please send me an email confirming your intent to volunteer for the day. There will be 40 kids. We need approximately 3 volunteers per participant. We need paddling volunteers as well as beach buddies for each child. Good Evening All, Just wanted to send a reminder out that our next meeting will be on Monday March 19, 2012 at 1 pm in foom 301 of the Health Science Building. We hope all of you guys can make it. As our guest speaker for this meeting we will be having Chris Kleinpeter, a psychologist fro the student health center. He will be talking about the resources that the student health center has in regards to mental well being and stress, and ways to cope with stress. I am sure h...e has some great advice to share with us stressed out nursing students. Also, The Pittsburgh convention is coming up April 11th-14th. Deborah would like students who are interested in attending to email her their interest by Friday March 16th to her email at: [email protected]. The opportunity to attend will be determined by attendance at meetings and volunteer hours. Plans for Pittsburgh will be discussed at the next CNSA meeting on March 19th at 1pm in room 301 in the Health Science Building..
