Scammers are posing as the County of Los Angeles and are asking for business/vendor information, threatening penalties and license revocation to any business that does not comply.... TAX PENALTY AMNESTY PROGRAM Beginning October 1, 2020 through December 17, 2020 businesses with unpaid taxes or under reported gross receipts or those who have not registered with the Office of Finance can benefit from the City of Los Angeles Tax Penalty Amnesty Program. The program provides an opportunity to pay delinquent City taxes and avoid up to forty percent in penalties. You must pay all outstanding principal, interest and fees no later than December 17, 2020 to qualify for a penalty waiver of up to forty percent. The eligible taxes are business taxes, communications user taxes, transient occupancy taxes, parking occupancy taxes, electricity user taxes, gas users taxes, commercial tenant taxes. Superior Court of California County of Los Angeles Did you know the Court offers an Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) tool to assist parents in negotiating a parenting plan for custody and visitation of their child(ren) from home or another remote location? For a limited time, this program is available at no cost! Using ODR could save you time and money spent on childcare, parking, and lost time off work to attend an in-person mediation.... How does ODR work? The Petitioner in the case or their attorney may access the system and start a parenting plan negotiation. Respondent (other parent) also accesses the system to register and verify their email address. Once Petitioner has a proposed plan, Respondent receives an email invitation to respond to the proposed agreement terms. If parents agree on a plan, the ODR Program will generate a Parenting Plan Agreement to file with the Court by fax file, mail, or drop box located in front of the courthouse. What if we are unable to resolve our matter using the ODR Program? If you are unable to resolve all child custody and visitation issues, you will be required to attend a mediation in-person at a courthouse prior to any hearing regarding custody and visitation. If you are the Petitioner, you will register by creating a sign-in and begin a parenting plan. If you are the Respondent, you will register by creating a sign-in.
