The Wilfred, named after Ishka's great grandfather who made an attempt at growing grapes in Sri Lanka in the early 1900's. Though it was a challenging place to grow grapes and ultimately not a success, this wine's name serves as a fulfillment to the dream that lives on. The Wilfred is a Mourvèdre driven tenacious rarity, exemplifying and manifesting the strata of soil. The peat is palpable and the smoke savory.... #PachydermFamily #PasoWine

This weekend for Vintage Paso: Zinfandel Weekend we paid tribute the life of a Legend. The maestro and the apprentice. Prince Richard and the pauper. Richard Sauret the standard bearer of Paso Robles Zinfandel, protege of Tschelitscheff, grape whisperer to Paderewski and the first individual vineyard to be designated in the Paso Robles appellation by HMR. A friendship lost, never to be replicated. Pictured here is Ishka and Richard dreaming about planting the estate viney...ard here at Guyomar circa 1997 as well as some shots from the first harvest here on the estate! The very first harvest at our Estate Vineyard with the living legend himself, Richard Sauret lending his muscle and keeping a keen eye on the quality of product. CELEBRATING WOMEN! It goes without saying, but we are saying it. Women are the best! It takes a women’s touch for a reason: attention to detail, strength, love, passion, cleverness, intuition. Today we are celebrating the wonderful women that have been such an integral part in the development of our vineyard and our wine label. Quite frankly, it wouldn’t have been possible without these lovely ladies that labored with us!...
