The event will be hosted by CalVet's ...Minority and Underrepresented Veterans Division. This event will highlight the impact of the approval of certain requests for religious accommodation, what it was like to live and fight for religious freedoms in the military, and future policy perspectives to support Sikhs in today’s military. In addition, the webinar will highlight the current needs of the Sikh veteran community and their families. Scheduled speakers include Congressman Jim Costa, Assemblymember Ash Kalra, LTC Kamal Kalsi (Keynote Speaker), the Sikh Coalition, Vito Imbasciani MD, secretary of CalVet, and Xochitl Rodriguez Murillo, deputy secretary of MUVD (master of ceremony).
