General Shafter School

After a few months of being challenged to a game of ping pong, Johnny beat Mr. Salyards and won snow cones for the student body next week. Johnny has obviously been practicing.

We are clearing out our school clothing inventory. Many sizes are available for shorts. There are a few hooded sweatshirts and t-shirts available. All items are $5. Please send money in envelope with your student to the office along with size and items requesting.

Can you name all of our staff? This group of educators are doing a wonderful job.

1st day of in-person instruction. We welcome the class of 2035.

Tomorrow we welcome back our staff. Soon we will see our students. Let’s all get straight A’s this year.

Hello Community - As you have probably heard on the news, Governor Newsom is requiring schools to remain closed in Counties that are on the States monitoring list. Public and Private Schools cannot physically open until the County has been off the monitoring list for 14 consecutive days. Unfortunately, Kern County has just been put on the monitoring list. Therefore our ability to open with students on campus is not an option at this time. General Shafter School District will... begin the school year August 12th using our online platform.
