COVID testing has moved out of the Grass Valley Veterans Building. Community Testing Sites Testing is available for anyone, whether or not you have insurance. You must pre-register and schedule an appointment at https://www.lhi.care/covidtesting or call 1-888-634-1123. For assistance scheduling a COVID-19 test, contact 211 Connecting Point at 1-833-DIAL211 to speak to a local call specialist.... Appointments are available Monday-Saturday, 7:00 am to 7:00pm in Grass Valley and Monday-Friday, 7:00am to 7:00pm in Truckee. Return time for results may vary and can be expected within 2-7 days. Visit https://lhi.care/covidtesting (or call 1-888-634-1123 during business hours) to see if you are eligible for a test and make an appointment. In Grass Valley, the Grass Valley Veterans Hall will serve as the testing site. ... Qualifications Recently, the California Department of Public Health expanded eligibility for COVID-19 testing. Anyone who meets the testing criteria can be tested at an OptumServe community testing site, including uninsured, underinsured, undocumented and homeless individuals. More information about who is eligible for testing can be found on California Department of Public Health’s website. OptumServe will generate a unique identification number for individuals who do not have a driver license. Payment If an individual has medical insurance, OptumServe will bill the patient’s medical insurance company. Uninsured individuals may also use the community test site, and their tests will be paid for by the state.

President Trump announced an extension of federal guidance on social distancing to continue to April 30th, in a continued effort to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus. In accordance with this announcement, the GV Veterans building closure has also been extended until May 1st.

As many of you know our county among others in the state have a confirmed case of COVID-19 (Coronavirus). While we are doing everything we can to protect our community from this virus we are preparing for the possibility of community spread COVID-19 in our county. In light of this emerging and rapidly evolving situation the Grass Valley Veterans Memorial Building will be closed until at least April 13th. This includes all people and offices.

Following the protocol of our County, the Facilities Management of the Grass Valley Veterans Memorial Building has cancelled all events and meetings until April 13th. We are taking steps to minimize health risks to our community. Announcements have been sent out and various groups are being contacted. We want everyone in our community to be healthy and safe.
